Volunteer Roles at Simply Limitless
Daytime Fitness Volunteer
We are looking for volunteers to support our daytime classes on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The times are from 11am til 1pm. Wednesday's session is a little longer as we serve lunch as well.
Volunteers attend the session, help people off the minibuss and into the room, generally chatting and seeing how people are, making drinks after and help clearing away at the end.
Volunteers join in with the exercise class while keeping an eye out for any issues and being on hand if anyone needs any support.
Loneliness project volunteer
Our loneliness project supports people who are feeling lonely and isolated.
The service enables individuals to connect with others and helps them to become more active and engaged in their communities.
Volunteers will keep in touch with people on a one to one basis, via a mixture of phone calls, home visits and attending activities with the person requiring support.
This is a vital service we offer for people who need help to build confidence and work towards goals on a one to one basis.
Minibus Assistant
During the week we use our minibus to pick up and take home people who would like to access our services who do not have personal transport. We provide this service for our Daytime sessions Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 11.30am and from 12.30pm to 3pm.
We are looking for people to support our driver on the bus by helping people on and off the bus, chatting with people and taking calls from our team.
If you are able to help with any of these sessions or on an adhoc basis for holiday cover please do get in touch.
Families Volunteer
We run children's groups on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday mornings and we are looking for volunteers to support these sessions.
This role would include welcoming people, chatting with families and supporting them to engage, setting up and clearing away activities and help with refreshments.
Catering Assistant
We are looking for volunteers on a Wednesday between 11am and 1.30pm.
Help will include setting up and clearing away tables, heating up a prepared meal and cooking vegetables, support serving food and clearing away.

Real stories of impact and connection through Simply Limitless
Nikki
I began volunteering at Simply Limitless about in 2024 after seeing an advert on social media. I needed to refocus my attention after an operation that unfortunately limited my life. Now, three years into my journey, things are deteriorating, but I know that even when I can no longer volunteer, I can still participate and have a great time.
Carol
I have been volunteering with Simply Limitless for about eight years now. I have volunteered in several different roles from groups to one to one support. I have met some wonderful people over those years, everybody has a story to tell. I hope that I have been able to offer them some support and friendship.
Lesley
Having used Simply Limitless 's services myself opened my eyes to how much they do. By volunteering it means I can give something back and I'm playing a small part in keeping a much needed charity going. I never realised how much loneliness and mental health, not to mention other issues, needed help and funding in our area
